Make That Change with our new Heal LA Soap
Share
I’m so excited (and honestly still a little emotional!) to share something incredibly special with you. Bloom In Soap has officially partnered with the Heal Los Angeles Foundation to create a very meaningful product: The Heal LA soap bar - where 100% of the profits go directly to Heal LA and their youth programmes.
This collaboration is more than a launch for me - it’s the realisation of a dream I’ve held since I was a teenager.

How a Lifelong Dream Turned Into a Meaningful Collaboration
I’ve loved Michael Jackson since the age of 12. When I was around 13, I saw a photo in a magazine of Michael sitting in a bay window reading a book at Hayvenhurst - the home where The Jackson 5 made music history - located in Encino, California. From that moment, visiting the Jackson family home became a lifelong dream.
Fast forward to August 2025 - after 42 years of imagining what it would be like to visit this iconic property, I had the incredible opportunity to attend an event hosted by The Heal Los Angeles Foundation - at Hayvenhurst. The 'King of Popcorn' is an exclusive ticket-only event, held to raise funds to support the Foundation's programmes. Not only was the event the realisation of a lifelong dream, it also changed everything.
As a small thank you for the work they do, I brought along a couple of handmade soap bars wrapped in special Heal LA plantable labels I’d designed as a one-off just for the occasion. I gave them to Prince Jackson and Heal LA’s Co-Founder, John Muto - never imagining what would happen next.
A few weeks later, I received a call from John:
"Prince absolutely loved the soap! He wondered if you would consider creating an official Heal LA bar to help support the Foundation?"
I don’t think my feet have touched the ground since.

Meet the Heal LA Soap: Made With Love, Purpose & Impact
The Heal LA Soap is handcrafted in small batches from my Cambridgeshire studio using the same gentle, natural botanical ingredients you know and trust from Bloom In Soap.
This collaboration creates a chain of positive impact:
- 100% of the profits are donated to Heal LA to help support their youth programmes for underserved children
- Every purchase directly supports Jilima Co-op fairtrade initiative, helping to provide fair wages, safer working conditions, and a sustainable future for their community
- Plantable packaging supports biodiversity by growing into wildflowers that provide food and habitat for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
It’s a bar of soap that spreads kindness in so many ways around the world - supporting young people in Los Angeles, empowering women producers in Ghana, and giving a new home to bees and butterflies right here in the UK.

Why Supporting Heal LA Matters
Inspired by his father’s humanitarian efforts (Michael Jackson gave over 500 million dollars to charitable causes throughout his life), Michael Jackson’s eldest son Prince teamed up with his friend John Muto to form the Heal Los Angeles Foundation, which provides life-changing opportunities for young people in underserved LA communities. On the Heal LA website, Michael “Prince” Jackson Jr. says:
"My father would always say, "if you believe it, you can achieve it" and I believe that we have the power to come together as a community, as a group, and as an individual to make this world a better place. It's up to each and every one of us to recognize issues within our current communities and address them with passion and conviction."
Heal LA's programmes focus on everything from physical health to mental wellness, to essential life skills - helping children and teens grow stronger and more confident, while empowering them to reach their full potential.
Here are the programmes your Heal LA Soap purchase contributes to:
💪 Power Up Fitness Programme
This programme introduces young people to movement, strength, and healthier lifestyle habits. With expert instruction, they build physical confidence, boost their energy levels, and walk away feeling empowered.
💛 The SMILE Programme
A beautiful in-school initiative that supports students’ emotional and mental well-being. Through mindfulness, yoga, creativity, and even the comfort of therapy dogs, students learn to manage stress and build resilience.
🍳 Virtual Cooking Classes
Young people learn practical kitchen skills from professional chefs - from basic safety to preparing nutritious meals - helping them build confidence and develop lifelong healthy eating habits.
🎓 Career Day Initiative
This powerful programme introduces students to real-world career paths. Professionals visit classrooms to share their journeys, helping inspire young people to dream big and explore new opportunities.

“One of the Greatest Honours of My Life”
I don’t often stop and reflect - but this collaboration means the world to me.
Being able to support Heal LA from my little studio in Cambridgeshire, knowing each purchase of the Heal LA bar goes toward making that change to young people's lives… and doing so through a foundation built on empathy, impact and integrity.
It’s honestly one of the greatest honours I’ve ever had.
I’m beyond grateful to Prince and John for trusting me with this project, and to you for supporting the work Bloom In Soap does every day.
